Frequently asked questions about the Stockholm Pass

As long as the pass has not been activated, Go City refunds it in full within 90 days of purchase. After the first scan no refund is possible. What counts are the cancellation terms in your booking confirmation.

The pass stays inactive after purchase until you have it scanned for the first time. Only that scan starts its validity, so you can book early and travel later. Go City does not name a maximum period for passes that have not been activated on its product page; the binding information is the one in your booking confirmation. What is documented is the right of return: 90 days from purchase, as long as the pass has not been activated.

You book the Stockholm Pass directly with Go City. There are two versions, the All-Inclusive Pass and the Essentials Pass, each with the current day's price via the booking button on its product page.

Yes. The child fare applies from 6 to 15 years, from 16 you pay the adult price, and children under 6 do not need a pass of their own. The amounts are on the prices page.

The price per day drops with every step up. The difference is clearest between one and three days; the final step from four to five days is the smallest on the whole ladder. The current price ladder and a worked example are on the prices page.

For Stockholm, Go City bills in SEK. Other currencies can be chosen in the booking window, and the conversion then uses the provider's daily rate. The tables on the prices page are in SEK.

The pass activates itself at your first attraction. You have your QR code scanned at the entrance, and from that moment the validity runs. Before that the pass stays inactive.

With the All-Inclusive Pass, yes: the days you book run from activation as consecutive calendar days, whether or not you visit something on each of them. The Essentials Pass works differently, giving you 30 days for three visits.

Calendar days up to midnight. Every pass day ends at 23:59, whatever time you started. Start only in the afternoon and you lose the unused morning hours.

The Stockholm Pass is fully digital. You show the QR code in the Go City App or as a PDF on your phone. There is no voucher to exchange and nothing to collect once you arrive.

No. Every pass is tied to one person and valid for one person. You cannot hand the QR code on, and everyone needs their own pass.

For the museums usually not, you simply turn up. It is different for the full-day excursions to Birka, Artipelag and Gustavsberg and for several of the boat tours: those run seasonally and with limited places, so a reservation is worth making. The Go City App marks each of them accordingly.

No. Each included attraction can be visited once per pass. With 68 attractions, though, you will find plenty of alternatives for every day. On the hop-on hop-off routes, counting follows the operator's own terms; how it works there is set out in the Go City App.

The All-Inclusive Pass opens all 68 attractions on 1 to 5 consecutive days. The Essentials Pass allows three visits within 30 days of first use. One sells you time, the other visits. The detailed comparison is on the pass versions page.

No, and that is the most important catch. Exactly one of your choices has to come from a premium list with three entries (The Vasa Museum, The Royal Palace, Skansen), the other two from a standard list. So you cannot take two of the big names. The complete lists are on the pass versions page.

Twelve. Go City's own description talks about the “Top 10”, but the selection lists behind it hold twelve entries. The list itself is binding, not the heading above it; because the provider's own text contradicts it, the number is only moderately documented. The line-up is on the pass versions page.

No. The full-day trips to Birka, Artipelag and Gustavsberg, along with Gröna Lund Amusement Park and Nationalmuseum, are on neither of the two selection lists. If the archipelago is what brings you to Stockholm, you need the All-Inclusive Pass.

No. The Tunnelbana, buses, Pendeltåg, trams and SL's Pendelbåtar are not included, and nor is the Djurgårdsfärjan. The All-Inclusive Pass covers admissions plus the sightseeing bus and the sightseeing boat, which is a different thing from a travel ticket. What that means in practice is on the public transport page.

No. ABBA The Museum stands on Djurgården between Gröna Lund Amusement Park and The Vasa Museum, but it is in neither of the two versions. You pay for admission separately. What is included is on the attractions page.
