Stockholm Pass

Frequently asked questions about the Stockholm Pass

Here you will find answers on buying, activating and using the Stockholm Pass and what it covers.

Buying and cancellation

What happens if my plans change?+

You can return non-activated passes to Go City within 30 days of purchase and get your money back. Once you have used the pass for the first time, no refund is possible. The cancellation terms shown in your booking channel are what counts.

How long is a pass valid if I do not use it straight away?+

A pass you have bought stays valid for up to 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as it has not been activated. The validity period only starts on your first attraction visit. So you can book early and travel later.

Activation and validity

How do I activate the Stockholm Pass?+

The pass activates automatically on your first attraction visit. You have your QR code scanned at the entrance, and from that moment the validity period starts running. Until then the pass stays inactive.

Are the days consecutive?+

Yes. With a multi-day pass the days run from activation across consecutive calendar days, whether or not you visit something on each day. It is best to start in the morning so you make the most of every day.

What counts as a day - 24 hours or a calendar day?+

Calendar days up to midnight count. Each pass day ends at 23:59, whatever time you start. If you only start in the afternoon, you lose the unused morning hours.

Using the pass on site

Do I need a physical ticket or does the pass work digitally?+

The Stockholm Pass is fully digital. You show the QR code in the Go City app or as a PDF on your phone. There is no voucher to exchange and nothing to collect on arrival.

Is the pass transferable or can several people use it?+

No. Each pass is personal and valid for one person. You cannot pass the QR code on - everyone needs their own pass.

Do I need reservations or time slots?+

Usually not. You can visit most museums spontaneously. Only a few popular tours with limited places need a reservation, and these are flagged in the Go City app.

Can I visit the same attraction more than once?+

No. Each included attraction can be visited once per pass. With over 60 attractions, though, you will find plenty of alternatives for every day.

What is included

Is public transport included?+

No. The metro, buses and public transport ferries are not included. The pass covers admissions plus the sightseeing bus and boat tours. For public transport you need a separate SL ticket.

Is there a Stockholm Pass for children?+

Yes, Go City offers discounted children's passes for ages 6 to 15. Children under 6 usually do not need their own pass. From age 16 the adult price applies.

Still have questions?

You have the key answers, and the rest sorts itself out in the Go City app. Get your pass and get going.
